Woodview Front Door Security
Published on Aug 30, 2013 09:32

Dear Woodview Families,

We are looking forward to the start of another great school year!  Every year there are things we are doing to make your child’s educational experience even better than the previous year.  Most of these efforts are happening in and around the classroom, but this year, you will also notice a safety change at our front entrance doors.  We have installed electric strike systems and cameras at the entries of all of our buildings throughout the district.  At 8:05 AM each morning, the main entrance door will be locked.  After that time, it will be necessary throughout the school day for you to push a button located at the entrance in order to enter the building.  Office staff will respond via an intercom system, asking for your name and the purpose for your visit (this will be the standard greeting at each building in the district, even if we know you well).  We appreciate your flexibility and understanding with any inconveniences this security measure may cause, but do know that we are doing this in an effort to make our buildings, staff, and, most importantly, our students as safe as possible.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or contact me at 262-376-5751.  Thank you for your continued support of our Woodview Learning Community, and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 3!
